Less, however, the number of internet users * that at the end of last year, has reached 2.3 billion *, approximately one third of the world’s population. The share varies significantly between rich countries and developing ones: If during the first resides the 70% of users in developing countries it is only 24%.

The Italy confirms the European record for the number of phones: 81.4% have at least one mobile phone, but only 35.4% has only one. The 25.7% in fact has two, the 11.5% 8.8% three and four or more. Ranked second in Europe are equal Great Britain and Portugal, followed by Spain, Germany and Greece. Our country is ranked first in Europe for mobile phone users and mobile phone services.

A situation that confirms the limited use to which the Italians make the landline, now replaced by mobile phone. And yet our prices are the most expensive in Europe. Call from fixed to mobile phone costs, 50% more than the European average.
