Telefónica alive and Bradesco announced on Wednesday the launch of a pilot project for the deployment of a debit card payment via mobile phone. According to the statement, the technology used is the NFC, contactless, along with the Mobile Wallet application, used to access the virtual banking card.
The officials of the two companies will receive Live-enabled phones with technology and with virtual cards linked to Bradesco for purchases at about 300 thousand accredited establishment to Cielo.
According to note released by the companies, the technology works through an Exchange “safe radiofrequency data”. The Exchange is made between an antenna installed on the payment terminal and another built into mobile phones. The consumer must, at the time of purchase, access the application on your phone, move the unit to the payment terminal and entering the password.
The contactless payment streamlines operations, controls and safety devices, according to the note. Since December, the Bradesco already offers cards with this technology for customers of Prime segment.
